Friday, 14 August 2020, 04:52A 20-year-old man was shot last night (Friday) in the Shuafat neighborhood of East Jerusalem, evacuated to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have opened an investigation, and the background is suspected to be criminal. The suspect in the act, a resident of the center of the country in his 20s, fled the scene and was arrested shortly afterwards. He was located in his home and weapons and ammunition were seized in his possession.
A preliminary investigation of the shooting incident reveals that the background is in fact criminal, and the police intend to ask the court later today to extend the suspect's detention.
In another incident earlier in the night, a 40-year-old man, a foreign national, was seriously injured, apparently during a brawl in an agricultural area near Moshav Kidron in the Shefela. MDA medics and paramedics provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to Kaplan Hospital, with a bodily injury.

A paramedic riding an MDA motorcycle, Meir Avivi, said that "when we arrived at the scene, they led us to a residential area of foreign workers, where we saw a 40-year-old man in full consciousness with a serious bodily injury. On Saturday night, an 18-year-old man from Hadera was shot dead. The 18-year-old's brother and another young man were injured during the incident. The victim was taken to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in the city, where he was fatally wounded, but after resuscitation attempts, doctors were forced to determine his death. The other two young men, aged 20 and 22, were lightly injured.
