Since the declaration of independence in 1971, the United Arab Emirates has been under constant tension with neighboring Iran, which has taken over the islands of Abu Musa and Tunnab, which it sees as the Federation of Principalities and an integral part of its sovereign territory.

The Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979 and the rise of the ayatollahs' regime in the Islamic Republic only increased tensions between the countries, as well as fears of the UAE and other Persian Gulf principalities such as Bahrain from an Iranian invasion of their territory and its takeover of the Persian Gulf oil industry.

The Iranian nuclear program and the war waged by Israel to stop it have deepened the secret cooperation that has taken place in recent decades between Israel and the Persian Gulf principalities - Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The latter was forced during the "Arab Spring" to deal with Tehran's attempts to overthrow the Shiite majority in the small principality to overthrow the Bahraini monarchy.

Only the intervention of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and other Arab states within the Persian Gulf Council of States that sent military forces to the Bahrain capital of Manama led to a halt to the coup attempt in neighboring princesses. These events only deepened the cooperation between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

The person behind the United Arab Emirates and the success story of the emirate is the late leader of the Federation of Principalities, Emir of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahian, who was not afraid to declare Iran an enemy state and deepen and cultivate friendly relations with the United States and its allies Israel.

in 2004 passed away at the age of 86 at the Emir of Abu Dhabi, who has headed the Federation of Principalities since their declaration of independence, and his son Sheikh Muhammad Khalifa bin Zaid Ahl Nahian, known as MBZ, was unanimously elected head of the UAE.

Ben-Zayed continued his father's path and in the face of the events of the Arab Spring and the political and geographical changes in the region, he strengthened and deepened ties with the Axis of moderate Sunni Arab states, especially Egypt and Saudi Arabia, as well as with the United States and Israel. In recent years, secret relations with Israel have become increasingly visible.

In the past year, however, there have been some disagreements between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates following the UAE's decision to end its participation in the war waged by the Saudis against the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

However, even these disagreements did not constitute an obstacle to the close relationship between the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain in the face of the threat posed by Iran and intelligence security cooperation with Israel and the US to halt the Iranian nuclear program. The economy, agriculture and production of drinking and irrigation water are necessary for the rich and desert oil principalities like breathable air.

Like his Saudi counterpart Muhammad bin Salman, a recipient of a similar nickname (MBS), the Crown Prince of the United Arab Emirates, Muhammad bin Zayed, has learned that the Federation of Principalities will never be able to rely on oil revenues, and in recent years the UAE's tourism industry has risen sharply.

The airport in the Principality of Dubai is one of the largest and busiest in the world, and in the territory of the Federation of Princes lies the tallest tower in the world, the Burj Al Khalifa; Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which covers 120,000 square meters and can accommodate up to 50,000 worshipers; Abu Dhabi's Louvre Museum, which displays some of the world's most important works of art and archeological finds; Artificial islands; And the "Bnei Avraham" religious complex, which is currently being built and will include a mosque and a synagogue as a tribute to the three monotheistic religions.

After the Gulf War in 1991, the Federation of Principalities began to open up to the Western world and the huge revenues and profits from oil invested in various income-producing properties, led by Amirates Airlines and the development of the Inbound Tourism to the Federation of Principalities.
