The Danish Jakob Fulglsang won the Tour of Lombardy played this Saturday between Bergamo and Como. Fourth last year, the Astana rider edged George Bennett and Aleksandr Vlasov by 53 seconds. The winner widened the gap with his two breakaway companions by accelerating about six kilometers from the finish. The event was marked by the impressive fall of Remco Evenepoel who struck a low wall before falling into the void a few meters below.
