A Russian "Su-27" fighter intercepted an American spy plane over the Black Sea as it tried to approach Russia's airspace, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The TASS news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that the US Navy reconnaissance aircraft, "Ariz AP3A", turned and moved away from the Russian border as the Russian fighter jet approached it.
On the 31st of last month, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the interception of a Russian Su-27 fighter for a US spy plane over the waters of the Black Sea.
