The launching of incendiary balloons from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territory continues: 19 fires were recorded since this morning (Saturday) in the Negev Gate and Eshkol area. The fire and rescue service said most of the fires broke out in thorny fields, and according to firefighters, the incidents were caused by explosive balloons.

"Most of the fires were small and not dangerous," said a fire and rescue spokesman in the Southern District. "The full cooperation between all the forces, in addition to the optimal deployment in the field, allows for rapid control and curbing the spread of the fire."
In response to the ongoing launching of balloons from the Gaza Strip, IDF fighter jets and tanks also attacked Hamas terrorist targets last night. During the attack, a Hamas naval force compound, underground infrastructure and observation posts of the Hamas organization were bombed.
Yesterday, Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi spoke with the heads of the authorities in the Gaza Strip and said that he understands their feelings of anger and those of the residents, and estimated that the terror of balloons will be stopped in the coming days.
