The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced the isolation of several areas in the cities of Beirut and Tripoli due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus in them.
The Minister of Health in the Lebanese caretaker government, Dr. Hamad Hassan, said in a speech in Baalbek today that “the ministry has started in cooperation with municipalities through the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities to isolate some neighborhoods within the capital Beirut and in the city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon,” indicating that the “evolution” of the virus will be monitored. In several other regions, it may be isolated later, after recording an increase in the number of Corona cases.
According to the latest statistics of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, the total number of cases of Coronavirus reached 8,045, and the total deaths were 94.
