After two weeks of tensions and threats in the elections, as reported in "Israel Today" on Friday, the Likud and Blue and White are on their way to compromise and agreements on the continuation of their common path. Negotiations between the parties will continue today, beginning with an attempt to reach agreements on the budget issue and expanding to other issues that the parties, and especially the Likud, want to promote.

The most burning issue, as mentioned, is the issue of the state budget. There is agreement between the parties on the continued promotion of the bill by Yoaz Handel and Zvi Hauser, to postpone the deadline for submitting the state budget, which is now set for August 24, by three months. Sources involved in the negotiations explain that the agreement to postpone the submission of the budget actually means that the Likud waives an annual budget. "They will not submit a budget for one month in November, it does not make sense," they say.

Another point related to the budget is the issue of the prime minister going to the polls. There are several scenarios on the table, including both the date of the budget transfer and the possibility that the court will determine that Netanyahu will not be able to continue serving in the government - a scenario that the Likud says will lead to elections.

A particularly burning point in the negotiations between the parties is the issue of appointing executives. The coalition agreement stipulates that a committee will be established to discuss the issue of examining the issue of appointing senior executives. The Likud wants to promote the issue and include criteria and levers in it, which will cause control to be in their hands. Blue and White insist that these appointments, which include the appointment of a commissioner, state attorney and ombudsman, will not be political appointments.

The change in the situation between the parties is also felt in public. Finance Minister Israel Katz said on News 12 yesterday that "the danger of the election has passed." "We are currently working on the latest summaries and formulations. We do not want elections." Katz added that "when both sides understand that there is no election - then there is no election." In blue and white they confirmed things and said that "there is an intention to solve the problems, there is a desire for stability." As reported in "Israel Today" on Friday, sources involved in the negotiations said that "there is a chance that a compromise will be found in the coming days."
