The number of patients in intensive care remains stable compared to the day before (376) and Public Health France only records one additional death in 24 hours, in hospital. The total number of deaths since the start of the epidemic has risen to 30,410 according to the report presented on Sunday by Public Health France. It is the General Directorate of Health which generally communicates the daily statement.

The number of new cases of Covid-19, which is on the rise again this summer, greatly worries the authorities who fear a second wave. More and more cities now require the wearing of masks in certain outdoor areas. And the question of the mask in collective closed places becomes recurrent. The government thus wants to modify, " by the end of August ", the health rules to contain the coronavirus in companies, in particular via the " compulsory wearing of a mask " in certain situations, indicates the Minister of Labor, Élisabeth Borne, in a report. interview in the Sunday Journal.

In addition, the French are much more worried about the health risk linked to the coronavirus (53%) than the economic risk caused by the spread of the disease (29%), according to an Ifop poll for the JDD.
