The Iranian chief of staff, Muhammad Bagari, sent an explicit threat to the United Arab Emirates following the establishment of relations with Israel and said that Iran would take a different approach towards its neighbor to the south. 

The Iranian commander was quoted in the Tassan news agency after speaking to senior military officers. Bagari said: "Today, in a situation where all the free nations of the world are expressing their hatred and refusal to accept the Zionist regime, one of the neighbors of the Islamic Republic is shamelessly declaring a relationship with the regime that slaughters Palestinian children." 

Bagari said: "Certainly, the attitude of Iran and its neighbors to the UAE will change radically. Now our armed forces will look at the country in a completely different light and carry out their calculations accordingly. If we see even the slightest threat to Iran's interests in the Persian Gulf, we will see the UAE. responsible. 

Bagari called on the Abu Dhabi administration to "reconsider its decision before it is too late and not to take steps that would lead to a deterioration in security in the region, as this is unacceptable to us." 

Lt. Col. Miki Miki Segal, a researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Public and State Affairs and former head of the Iranian branch of the Armed Forces' Research Division, told Israel Today: "Iran With the United Arab Emirates at the mouth of the Strait of Hormuz (Tanev the Great, Tanev the Little and Abu Musa) to signal to the Emirates that there is a price for its conduct and Iran intends to back it. At the same time, Iran may again use threatening language Against their rulers. "
