Latakia - Sana

In its one hundred first session, the monthly shopping festival held by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside was held in Lattakia, with the participation of about 100 different local industrial companies, and within the framework of its continuous role to break the commercial mediation circles and provide goods from the producer to the consumer in addition to supporting and promoting local products.

The festival accompanies this session by applying daily precautionary measures to combat the Corona virus, in order to ensure public safety by sterilizing the festival venue, providing masks and sterilization upon entry, while organizing the movement of shoppers as a means of raising awareness of the dangers of the spread of the virus and ways to prevent it in the markets.

Industrialists came from several provinces to display their products, stressing that the war on Syria did not discourage them from continuing work and production, and that this stage requires them to make additional efforts in light of the economic blockade imposed on the Syrian people.

Adel Qutaish from the province of Sweida, who participates in food and natural products, described his participation to the SANA correspondent as continuing to work by relying on our local industry, stressing that his company introduces two new varieties every year to its production plan and works on continuous expansion, and it currently includes about 80 workers.

Ammar Eskafi from Food Industries Company considered that the festival is an opportunity to introduce local products and the companies' keenness to participate in all its sessions to offer their products at reduced prices with discounts that encourage consumers to shop, pointing out that most of the participants in the festival include commercial and industrial events and shoppers who are committed to sterilization and wearing masks.

Ahmed Moussa from a company for aromatic and medicinal plants pointed out that the aim of the participation is to influence the prices, reduce them and provide herbal products and medicinal mixes from the local industry, noting the preventive measures that accompanied the festival from wearing masks and sterilization, which encouraged them to participate more.

Ahmed Tasbaji, Marketing Director, confirmed that the festival provides communication with consumers and their views on the changes in the market, and said through the festival we thank the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army who allowed us to work and move between governorates after defeating terrorism from most regions of Syria.

In addition, each of the participants in the festival, Muhammad Mahjazi, Amir Hijazi and Adham Birawi, indicated that it constituted a factor of support and payment for all industrialists that contributed to its continuation, stressing their keenness to provide discounts and for the consumer to feel the difference in price between the festival and other markets.
