Myra dos Santos, a 27-year-old Brazilian, has learned in her flesh that even when it seems like the situation can be bad, it can always be worse.

About two weeks ago, Dos Santos was riding her scooter in the northern city of Praguminas, when she suddenly collided with a vehicle as she entered one of the intersections in the city. What started as a fairly routine (albeit unpleasant) car accident was discovered by one of the city's security cameras at the moment as if taken from a nightmare: the intensity of the collision was so strong that Dos Santos flew in the air, landed on the floor, slipped on a roadside manhole - and fell Into it to a depth of several meters.

The young woman fell into the pit because the pit did not have an iron gutter that was supposed to prevent passers-by from falling into it. Luckily, the driver of the vehicle that hit her stopped immediately after the collision, got out of the vehicle quickly and ran to the edge of the sidewalk. He looked into the doorway, when he suddenly realized what had happened - and then called for the help of the residents. One of them, Luis Carlos Dinitz, himself descended into the pit, which according to a report on a local TV network was seven meters deep and was filled with sewage, while other citizens around him helped him start getting Dos Santos out of the pit.

After Dos Santos took a shirt off the pit, she was rushed to a nearby hospital. According to her family, she will have to undergo several surgeries to recover from the accident and the strange fall into the pit.
