China today condemned the American executive order that requires the "ByteDance" company to liquidate any property it uses in the "Tik Tok" application in the United States within 90 days, explaining that the so-called "freedom and security" is nothing but a pretext to justify the "digital fleet gun policy." In his response during a press conference to a question regarding the cases contained in the US Executive Order, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Li Jian said that Tik Tok has done almost everything that the US side requires, but it still cannot escape the disguised and arbitrary blackmail practiced by some US personnel against it seeking an investigation. Selfish political gains, adding .. "Some American politicians insist on fabricating baseless accusations to strangle Tik Tok."
"This blatant bullying behavior is a blatant violation of the principles of market economy and fair competition and a violation of international trade rules," Zhao pointed to US politicians' use of so-called national security as a pretext to stir up trouble and crack down on non-American companies.
The Chinese spokesman called on the United States ... "to immediately correct its mistakes, stop tarnishing and slandering China, and stop suppressing the companies of other countries without any basis."
The day before yesterday, US President Donald Trump signed a decree requiring the Chinese Bydance Group to sell American activities to implement TikTok, its international social network, within ninety days, in continuation of his hostile and provocative policies towards China and its companies.
