Rami Levy filed a defamation suit against the UN Human Rights Council in the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court yesterday (Monday). The council published a "blacklist" of 112 businesses operating in Jewish localities in Judea and Samaria, 94 of them Israeli and 18 international. Are helping to violate the human rights of Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights. The list is intended to impose an international boycott on these businesses, including the businesses of Rami Levy - the supermarket chain "Rami Levy Sycamore Marketing" and the cellular networks "Rami Levy Communications", which run businesses in the Judea and Samaria area.

In response, Rami Levy filed a defamation lawsuit against the UN Human Rights Council in the amount of NIS 280,000 through the human rights organization Shurat HaDin.

The lawsuit alleges that activity in the territories of Judea and Samaria does not violate the rights of Palestinians, but on the contrary - it benefits them. Palestinian and Jewish workers are employed in Rami Levy's marketing networks, while providing full equality of rights. "If anything, it can be said that the plaintiff companies are improving the rights of the Palestinians and their economic well-being immeasurably. The working conditions and wages that the plaintiffs provide to their Palestinian workers are ten times better than the working conditions and wages received by Palestinian Authority workers or jobs in its territory."

Rami Levy, CEO and owner of the chain: "I believe in true coexistence. All employees in our marketing network are employed without distinction of religion, race or nationality, and equally entitled, and even earn three times the average salary in the Palestinian Authority. "President of the Shurat HaDin organization, Adv. Nitzana Darshan-Leitner, representing Rami Levy: Reflects the true image of the UN Human Rights Council, which has once again been found to be racist, dark and biased. "
