As the Austrian officials from the Alpine Police and Ehrwald Mountain Rescue announced yesterday at the request of the local newspaper, the man most likely set off on his tour on Sunday morning. However, it is still unclear where the man comes from. The authorities in Tyrol said it was a Weilheimer, the police headquarters of Upper Bavaria South spoke on Tuesday afternoon of a man from Bad Bayersoien who was wanted.

The fact is: when he did not return to work on Monday morning as planned, the relatives called the police, it was said yesterday. "A large-scale search has been running since yesterday evening - so far in vain," said an officer of the Alpine Police yesterday afternoon. The search area was "huge", he explained. In addition to the mountain rescue services from Ehrwald and Lermoos, numerous other rescue workers are also on duty - including five search dogs and several rescue helicopters - some from Germany.
