Netanyahu to Cabinet Ministers: I will oppose the sale of the F-35 to the Emirates - including before Congress
According to ministers present at the meeting, the prime minister stressed that he did not give his consent to the sale of the aircraft to the state as part of the normalization agreement, and that he would oppose it even if such a deal arises in the future. Prime Minister Netanyahu said today (Tuesday) at a meeting of the Political-Security Cabinet today that he did not give any consent to the sale of F-35 aircraft to the UAE as part of the normalization agreement and that in case such a deal comes up in the future by the White House he will oppose it. Netanyahu opened the meeting with a long speech in which he denied that the normalization agreement includes any understandings regarding the sale of American weapons to the UAE.
