Sweida - Sana
Various artistic and literary performances included in a youth cultural event hosted by the stage of the Arab Cultural Center Theater in As-Suwayda within the Al Yamamah Literary Forum.
The event, which was organized by the Revolutionary Youth Union branch in Sweida, included an art exhibition for ten young artists, whose ages ranged from 14 to 18 years, whose paintings came in a variety of subjects in Mandela style, portraiture, and photography with various techniques, including drawing with lead, charcoal, oil and acrylic.
The event also included a singing and solo performance on the oud by Shahid and Nawar Al-Hussein, during which they performed a number of oriental songs and instruments by Umm Kulthum and Nazem Al-Ghazali and “The Siti Dance” by Omar Naqshbandi, while a number of young men and women recited patriotic and sentimental poems.
The founder of Al-Yamamah Literary Forum, Qais Al-Hussein, told SANA reporter that the forum includes a group of young people between 14 and 18 years of age from the province of Sweida who organize vertical weighted poetry to encourage and demonstrate their talents, pointing to the multiplicity of the forum’s activities and their diversity between poetry, music and painting, and has previously held two activities outside the governorate in Aleppo and Nabek.
While a member of the leadership of the Revolutionary Youth Union branch in Sweida, Rafat Al-Suwaidan, stated that the event comes within the framework of highlighting promising artistic and literary youth talents, taking into account the achievement of spatial separation between attendees as part of precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
