Donald Trump attacked Michelle Obama at a press conference. At the nomination party convention of the US Democrats, the former first lady had campaigned for Joe Biden. The usual defiant reaction of the US President was not long in coming. When asked what he thought of her speech, Trump said:

She is overwhelmed. And to be honest, she should have given the speech live. Instead, she had the speech recorded. And a long time ago. Because she had the wrong (Corona) death numbers.
It is indeed true that the numbers are out of date. But it is not a point that Trump should criticize as incumbent president. Michelle Obama speaks of "more than 150,000 people" who have died in the USA in the wake of the corona pandemic. In fact, there are now more than 170,000 dead.
In Trump's account, however, it appears to be worse to record a speech in advance than to have to answer 170,000 lives. The point in the verbal exchange of blows should therefore go to Michelle Obama:
Michelle Obama, former First Lady He is clearly overwhelmed. He doesn't live up to this time.
As expected, the US President switched to attack after such a judgment. And accuses the former First Lady of what his political opponents have repeatedly attested to:

I think it was a very divisive speech, extremely divisive. There is a tremendous amount of support for my election campaign. And to be honest, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Barack Obama. We are here in the White House. I wouldn't be in the White House if they hadn't done such a bad job. Biden and Obama.
Michelle Obama had emphasized in her speech that Donald Trump was the wrong president for the country. His latest reaction should strengthen her assessment.

You can't just cheat your way through this job. As I said, being president doesn't change who you are. It shows who you are.
