Homs farmers continue to harvest their agricultural crops for the current season, including the (peach) crop, for which the villages of the western countryside of the governorate are famous.

In the harvest collection and marketing center in the village of Juwaikhat, the owner of the center explained that they provide plastic containers to farmers who pick the crop and deliver it to the center, and then the peaches are collected and shipped to other governorates, where about 250 tons of production have been received indicating that the production of peaches is average this year and prices range from 450 to 600 according to Type.

For his part, the Director of Agriculture, Engineer Nazih Al-Rifai, said in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the estimates of peach production in the governorate indicate an increase in the amount of production this season compared to the last season, as it is 1,468 tons, and irrigated and Baal plants are grown on an area of ​​2,985 dunums, pointing out that the total number of trees in the irrigated area reached 62608 trees, including 50798 fruit trees, while the total number of trees in the rain-fed area reached 82,950 trees, including 42,535 fruit trees.

And chickpeas produced from peaches last season 1168 tons.
