Former adviser to US President Donald Trump clarifies in a conversation with Israel Today: "The agreement with the Emirates - Netanyahu's right step, there is hope for progress with other Arab neighbors" • On Judea and Samaria he said: "It is possible to act on the matter at a later date"

Former President Trump's senior adviser, Jason Greenblatt, calls on Israel Today for those who opposed the sovereignty move to "reconsider their approach." Greenblatt did not specify who it was, but it seems that the intention is also for the right-wing circles in Israel, who came out strongly against the Trump plan and thus contributed to the delay in the implementation of the sovereignty move. In the conversation, Greenblatt added that he still believes that sovereignty "is not a question of 'if' but of 'when'".

Why did the sovereignty move actually come off the table? After all, there was a statement by the president that "Israel can apply the law in the areas in question."

"I do not believe that sovereignty has 'come off the table' permanently, and I certainly hope it does not. I think the parties had a reason to choose the word 'suspend'. However, I think Prime Minister Netanyahu made the right decision, which is to seek the historic peace agreement with Union. The emirate, and to work on Judea and Samaria in the right context at a later date. The approach taken by the Prime Minister, working closely with President Trump and the White House - in my opinion, the most supportive White House for Israel ever - allows Israel to progress systematically with the UAE, and hopefully other Arab neighbors "Without giving up on what I see as Israel's just claims."

Is there a chance that the sovereignty move will be carried out? What needs to happen for that?

"I certainly hope so. I hope it is not a question of whether, but when. I think those who opposed what happened (the abolition of sovereignty at the moment; etc.) should reconsider their approach. It is difficult at present to determine what needs to be done to implement sovereignty. I think Israelis should give Prime Minister Netanyahu the freedom of action he needs to do what is best for the State of Israel on a comprehensive basis. In my opinion, the issue of sovereignty is indeed very important, but it is not the only issue that must be taken into account. "
