Speaking about the pandemic, Pope Francis called for equal access for all to the vaccine against the Covid-19: “It would be sad if the priority was given to the richest for the vaccine for the Covid -19! How sad it would be for this vaccine to become the property of such and such a nation and not be universal. ” Adding: "And what a scandal if all the economic assistance that we see - the majority of which comes from public money - was concentrated on saving industries which do not contribute to the inclusion of the excluded, to the promotion of the last, to the common good or to the safeguard of creation. "
