Morocco has witnessed an increase in the spread of the Corona epidemic, with more than a thousand new infections daily since the beginning of this month, which raises concern and criticism in the local media about managing the health crisis.
According to the French Press Agency, the latest official statistics, which were published today, indicated that more than 47,600 people were injured and 775 died, while more than 32,800 people have recovered.
The Moroccan King Mohammed VI warned against having to make a "difficult decision" to return to the quarantine imposed in the country between March and June, warning that its economic and social repercussions "will be severe."
Last week, Director of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, warned of the "upward trend" of the epidemic in Morocco, calling for more aggressive measures to confront it.
