Coronavirus cases are increasing in Pro D2, forcing the clubs concerned to cancel their preparation matches.

FC Grenoble, which also deplores an affected player, also preferred to cancel its match scheduled for August 27 against Oyonnax, where two cases had been reported in mid-August. In Montauban, “all the administrative staff of USM were placed in telework, and the player was placed in solitary confinement so as not to contaminate all of his teammates while collective training is suspended until see you again, ”the club said.

Concern for Stade Français Paris

In Béziers, "the player concerned has been placed in a fortnight" but training, closed to the public, continues, said ASBH. Carcassonne, who was to face the Biterrois club on Saturday, had already had to give up the previous week to its first preparation match in Perpignan because one of its players had contracted the coronavirus.

In Top 14, Stade Français, where more than a dozen players have tested positive and some have developed lung lesions, had to cancel its only two preparation matches against Brive and Toulon. The Parisian club has not yet requested a postponement of the opening meeting of the championship, on September 4 against Bordeaux-Bègles. Agen, Lyon (Top 14), Aix-en-Provence, Angoulême (D2) have also reported positive cases for Covid-19 in recent weeks.
