New skeletal remains were found this Friday by members of the Federal Police in the Bahía Blanca estuary sector where a disintegrated body appeared on Saturday.
Personnel from the Scientific Division of that force followed the instructions of the executive director of the Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team for the procedure, ordered by prosecutor Santiago Martínez.
"The skeletal remains that were found are compatible with a clavicle," said lawyer Luciano Peretto, according to the communication he received from deputy commissioner José Pérez, second chief of the Bahia Federal Police in charge of the operation.
One of the representatives of Facundo's mother added that a blue cloth was also found in the raking carried out at the site called Cola de Ballena.
Claim by Facundo Astudillo Castro in front of the Buenos Aires Ministry of Security Foto Nievas.
"The piece of bone that was found was enveloped and will be sent to Buenos Aires," Peretto revealed. It will be analyzed in the EAAF laboratory, where on Tuesday at 9 am the autopsy of the skeletonized body that three fishermen sighted in the place will begin last Saturday. "About the piece of cloth, we asked that you send us a photo" ,added the lawyer.
The procedure, which was scheduled for Wednesday and was postponed due to the tide that covered the sector, involved about 50 troops who swept the area with the aim of finding more elements that could belong to Facundo.
On Sunday morning, Cristina Castro found in the place, about 30 meters from the body, a shoe, similar to the one her son was wearing the day he was last seen.
Facundo, 22, disappeared on April 30 when, in full quarantine, he left his home in the town of Pedro Luro towards Bahía Blanca and was detained at a police checkpoint.
