He walked in his poetry the path of measured poetry and made it the tongue of his state to express issues related to the homeland, its pain and its aspirations, so that the poet Mahmoud Yunus Mansour could leave his mark in the various poems that he weaves, especially patriotism, with his ability to recite in an easy manner that reaches the recipient and touches the conscience.

During an interview with Sana Al-Thaqafiyyah, Mansour mentioned that his passion for poetry was great, as the first poem he wrote was in the first year of middle school and was close to vertical poetry at the time, in line with Michael Naima and Gibran Khalil Gibran.

The poet’s childhood had a great role in developing his talent, as he grew up in a house interested in authentic Arabic poetry and great poets such as Abu Nawas, Al-Mutanabi, Badawi Al-Jabal, Ahmad Shawqi and Hafez Ibrahim.

Mansour believes that the poem needs means to help it flourish. Language and images are means for the success of any poem, but the emotional state and emotion are the most important things in the poem.

The poet Mahmoud Mansour participated in many cultural events and literary forums in Syria, Egypt, Lebanon and Algeria, and his first collection was published under the name (The Love Pub) in 2002 by Dar Al Ma'arif in Homs, while he is currently preparing to print his second collection entitled (Readings in the Sea Book).
