Warming in the south: IDF fighter jets, tanks and aircraft attacked Hamas targets in the southern Gaza Strip last night (Monday), in response to the launching of incendiary balloons and rockets at the Gaza Strip in recent days.
According to the IDF statement, the attack was aimed at military positions and underground infrastructure of the Hamas organization, which controls the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, Israel decided to stop all movement of goods into the Gaza Strip, except for food and medical equipment, in order to put pressure on Hamas to stop its terrorist activities in Israeli territory. In recent days, the transfer of fuels to the Gaza Strip has been stopped and the navy has stopped fishing in the Gaza Strip using water hoses and firing into the air.
At the same time, the Egyptian delegation to the Gaza Strip, which is trying to mediate between the two sides, announced that at this stage it will not enter the Strip until the winds calm down.
