The Haifa District Attorney's Office (Criminal) filed an appeal today (Monday) in the Haifa District Court against his acquittal due to the actor Moshe Ivgi's doubt of charges of indecent act and sexual harassment, as well as the six months' service and compensation of NIS 10,000 for the complainant. On the grounds of filing the appeal, the prosecution explained that the acquittal "does not give proper expression to Ivgi's blatant and degrading actions, which require a clear and unequivocal statement." The decision on the appeal submitted by the district attorney, associate attorney Issam.

Appeals the state argued that the court erred peace, are thus not established Ivgi's conviction based on the credibility of each of the complainants, and by carefully examining each charge on its own "But the state believes that a comprehensive examination of the women's testimonies and all the evidence submitted in the case, and the court's rulings regarding them, necessitated the conclusion that Ivgi should be convicted of the charges against him in the indictment."

Yesterday, Ivgi filed an appeal with the Haifa District Court against his conviction and the sentence imposed on him. Attorney, attorney Michael Carmel, asked to submit a "new evidence" and perhaps even a new time some of the witnesses, including the complainant A, "according to developments that occurred after the sentencing."

Ivgi maintains his innocence all along, and his lawyer has expressed his intention to appeal already with the granting of the verdict. So, he promised "to appeal against the conviction of my client's wrong and fight for acquittal of all charges."

In response to the declaration of the prosecution to appeal, said attorney Carmel that it stems from an internal audit. "Only in a country like Israel can the same body that conducted a failed trial and lost can decide for itself on the appeal of a credit," he said. "Without any outside criticism from another attorney who will examine whether there is any real appeal, I am convinced that the state's appeal will reject all levels and lawfully."

The prosecution's reasoning for filing the appeal states that "certainly when the three complainants in the case - women who are strangers to each other, from different places and fields, each told about how they met Ivgi and were harmed by him - whether through forbidden sexual contact or degrading and humiliating speech."

They added that "the acts described by the three indicate a series of sexual offenses committed by Ivgi against women, exploitation of situations and exploitation of his status, even though it is not a matter of power or dependence. In addition, the evidence presented to the court taught a consistent and degrading and degrading sexual attitude. Of Ivgi towards women, in deeds and in text, "they added.

Accordingly, the prosecution concluded that "the aforesaid rulings, along with all the events and evidence brought before the Magistrate's Court, should have led to Ivgi's conviction on the charges from which he is acquitted." Regarding the sentence handed down to Ivgi, the prosecution argued that "he does not give proper expression to Ivgi's blatant and despicable actions, which require a clear and unequivocal statement that women's bodies are not no man's land and that such offenses will be met with severe and dissuasive punishment."
