Today, Homs Governorate firefighters extinguished thirteen fires that affected fruit and forest trees and herbs in several areas of the governorate.
Colonel Othman Juda, commander of the Homs Fire Brigade, told SANA's correspondent that the regiment, in cooperation with the civil defense personnel, put out two fires on the Homs-Tartous road, affecting forest trees and grasses, the first near the Shin Bridge and the second near the al-Masidah village.
Juda indicated that the firefighters also put out a fire that broke out in a Suzuki car near the old clock in the city of Homs, without any casualties, in addition to putting out six fires in different areas of Homs and its countryside.
Last Friday, the Homs firefighters put out two fires affecting forest and fruit trees and herbs in the western countryside of Homs.
