As the police announced, the young woman had wanted to go on a trip to the Eibsee . But the navigation system first guided the tourist, who did not know the location, to the valley station of the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn , via Ehrwald and the Hochtörlenhütte . Then the French woman sent it back to Germany towards Eibsee.

On a gravel road at an altitude of 1400 meters , the small car finally lost its power - it could no longer be maneuvered. Because she could no longer help herself, the 28-year-old desperately notified the police operations center in Rosenheim. The Grainau fire brigade and mountain rescue team finally helped her out of a mess.
Rely on the GPS: Not the first funny incident in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district
A similar incident occurred in January. Since a tourist relied on his GPS, he drove his car to a ski slope near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Only a snowcat driver of the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn (BZB) dragged the car free and onto terrain on which it could continue its journey.
