Fifteen people suspected of having participated in the incidents in Paris on Sunday evening after the Champions League final will be tried on Tuesday August 25 and two investigations have been opened into the looting of jewelry stores, AFP learned from the Paris prosecutor's office.

Clashes opposed the police and groups of young people on Sunday evening, especially around the Parc des Princes and the avenue des Champs-Elysées where cars were set on fire and shops vandalized. A total of 158 people were arrested and 151 taken into police custody, about a third of whom were minors.
16 law enforcement officers were injured
Of the 105 adults in custody, fifteen must be tried in immediate appearance on Tuesday, mainly for " violence against a person holding public authority ", " aggravated thefts " or " concealment of aggravated thefts ". The custody of fourteen other people was extended while thirteen others were released pending further investigation. Forty people, for their part, saw their proceedings dismissed.
In addition, two investigations were opened for the looting of two jewelry stores on rue François-Ier, not far from the Champs-Elysées, in which dozens of people could be involved. The investigations must make it possible to identify the suspects. According to Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin, 16 law enforcement officers were injured, 12 stores attacked and around fifteen vehicles damaged.
