The Tartous Feed Factory provides the need for livestock breeders in the governorate from the manufactured feed rationing at low prices and high quality, in addition to shipping other quantities to neighboring governorates.
The Director of the General Fodder Corporation branch in Tartous, Eng. Muhammad Hussein, stated in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that a new feed cycle has been opened that included poultry, cows and horses and will continue until September 17th, pointing out that the prices of the sold feed are significantly below the market price in order to support the continued work of breeders and reduce production costs Broiler, eggs, milk and its derivatives.
He added: The development and rehabilitation work of Tartous feed plant continues without stopping the production process, as a steam boiler of 2 tons capacity was installed with a desalination circuit in addition to maintaining the steam line, installing new rolls for the gain machine, as well as repairing the generator and adjusting the weight on the packing lines indicating that production has reached since the beginning This year and up to date, more than 9,550 tons of high-quality processed feed, including 6070 tons of ready-made feed and about 3,500 tons of ready-made fodder.
Hussein pointed out that the plant’s production is mainly distributed in Tartous Governorate, in addition to shipping quantities of production to Lattakia, Hama and Aleppo, noting that the process of rehabilitating the plant will be completed during the coming period, which will raise its production capacity by 100 percent.
