The arrest comes less than a day after two people were killed and a third seriously injured in a shooting in Kenosha Tuesday night during the third night of protests over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, police said.
Officers responded to reports of multiple shooting victims around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, the Kenosha Police Department said in a news release early Wednesday.
The injured person was taken to hospital with "serious but not life-threatening injuries," police said.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and the names and ages of the victims are still being determined, according to the statement.
Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth told The New York Times that his office is investigating whether the shooting was due to a conflict between protesters and a group of gunmen protecting businesses.
