(CNN Spanish) - The National Police of Colombia reported this Friday the murder of three people in a rural area of ​​the municipality of Andes, in the department of Antioquia. Colonel Ever Yovanni Gómez, commander of the departmental police, said that the events were recorded this Thursday, when some hooded individuals entered a farm and "without a word" fired at these people.

According to Gómez, two people died at the scene and a third died in a local hospital to which he was transferred after being attacked. Among the victims is a child under 13 years of age. "At this time all the investigative work is being carried out to clarify this unfortunate fact," said the colonel.

The commander of the Seventh Division of the National Army, General Juan Carlos Ramírez Trujillo, reported that there are troops deployed in the Bajo Cañaveral village to provide security and assistance to the police who are investigating in the area.
