Because he was still in a test match at SV Ascholding / Thanning on Tuesday evening, all 15 Waldramers involved are now in quarantine. The health department recommended that the Ascholding people "avoid contact with other people as much as possible" in the near future.
"This is all madness," puffs Waldrams vice-department head Daniel Dankesreiter. As reported, a kicker had voluntarily tested after returning from vacation at Munich Airport. Since he did not come from a risk area, he watched the Champions League final on television with friends that evening. During this or in the next few days at work - the two work in the same company - the friend and teammate was also infected with Covid19. The returnee received his result on Wednesday. As a result, his friend immediately went into quarantine - the club canceled all training units and the preparatory games planned for the weekend.
That those responsible had done well was shown late on Friday evening: The second player also tested positive. That means: quarantine for all 15 Waldramers who stood with him in Ascholding. This should initially apply until September 9, says Lukas Haustein. The coach of the Waldramer Reserve went into quarantine himself after the problem became known. He was only classified as a “second degree contact person” by the health department because he was in contact with the infected actor mainly in the fresh air.

"We have strictly adhered to all hygiene regulations," explains the Ascholdingen soccer department head. A separate cabin, a different way to the football field, no handshake to greet you, no beer afterwards. And on the pitch, even if someone had two or three times fought a duel with the infected Waldramer, the contact time was extremely short. “It would have to go with the devil if someone was infected anyway,” says Makrutzki. "That is probably also the assessment of the health department." Nevertheless, the SV canceled the test match against SC Wörnsmühl planned for yesterday, Sunday, to be on the safe side; also the training for the coming week. It is questionable whether the match at SG Brunnthal / Hofolding II will take place next Sunday.
“That is of course a stupid situation. Most players are really annoyed that they have to stay at home now. But I think everyone understood the seriousness of the situation, ”says Lukas Haustein. “Somehow the whole thing is a calculated risk at the moment. We kept to all the regulations, but something slips through somewhere, ”said the DJK trainer. "Sooner or later there will be a similar situation elsewhere." It is positive that the quarantine currently only affects players, but not their family members.
Regardless of the situation in the men's area, the preparation for the season in the youth department continues as planned. “During the period in question, there was no contact whatsoever with the men's area,” assures Daniel Dankesreiter. Peter Kunzmann is disillusioned. Up until now he was hoping that point games would take place again soon, admits the technical director. "But what it looks like at the moment, you have to be realistic that this year there may not be another whistle."
The footballers of SV Eurasburg-Beuerberg are still in the dark, who have also ceased training and matches as a precaution because of a possibly infected player. "The test result comes on Monday at the earliest," explains trainer Andreas Mathäus. “We hope and fear further.” On the other hand, there is good news from BCF Wolfratshausen II: The kicker, who voluntarily quarantined because of a suspected corona, has tested negative, according to his trainer Gerhard Keilwerth.
