Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif confirmed that the "law of the jungle" has prevailed since ancient times, the policy pursued by the United States of America, referring to the brutality of the American police in their handling of protests against racism in the country.
Zarif said in a tweet today, commenting on the statement of the US Department of Homeland Security official and his threat to suppress protests and demonstrations in Portland, “The phrase all options are on the table since ancient times, one of the axes of US foreign policy, meaning in a simple phrase“ law of the jungle ”and indifference to the most basic principles of international laws. .
Zarif indicated that the US administration is using the same threat and always brandishing it against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and now it is using it against the Americans, wondering whether this will be a wake-up call.
This summer has seen hundreds of protests across the United States sparked by the killing of George Floyd, a defenseless African American, who died after a Minnesota policeman kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes.
