An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale jolted Semnan Province in northern Iran today.
Fars news agency quoted the director of the crisis management cell in the governorate as saying that the earthquake struck the outskirts of the governorate center at 35.15 degrees north latitude, 53.75 degrees east longitude, and a depth of 18 kilometers below the surface of the earth, and its epicenter was 58 kilometers from the city of Semnan.
