A neighbor of the two defendants, who grew up with them in the city, told Walla!

"Treated her as an object": 11 accused of involvement in the rape of a 16-year-old in Eilat

In addition to Meirov and Rafailov, indictments were filed against nine others, including eight minors.

The two were accused of raping the 16-year-old together with 17-year-old twins from a southern locality in a room at the "Red Sea" hotel in Eilat, while exploiting the girl who was drunk and in a state of lack of control.

The indictment states that the 16-year-old came to Eilat with her two friends and they stayed at a villa in the city.

On the afternoon of August 12, she arrived with her friends at the Red Sea Hotel.

They were staying in the hotel pool with her friend's acquaintances, while at the same time the defendants from Irov and Raphaelov were also present.

According to the charges, Raphaelov knew that the 16-year-old girl had offered her to go out with him for fun - but she refused.

After the hotel pool closed, the girl and her friends went up to the acquaintances' room on the second floor, where she drank a large amount of alcohol.

According to the prosecution, the girl got drunk and got into a situation where "she was unable to control her actions and desires."

At around 19:00, Meirov and Rafailov broke into a vacant room on the second floor.

This, without registering at the reception or paying for the stay in the room.

At one point, the 16-year-old left the room where she was staying with her friend when she was drunk, so Raphaelov approached her.

He said he could help her because he was trained in first aid - and led the 16-year-old to his room.

"Afterwards, the defendants committed sexual offenses on the girl one after the other and sometimes together for about an hour - cruelly, while losing a human photographer, and while demonstrably ignoring her plight.

"The defendants treated the complainant as an object, as a tool to satisfy their passions. None of them tried to stop what was happening and offer her any help."

Raphaelov stayed in the room for the entire duration of the rape, while the other defendants committed the offenses attributed to them, and left the scene.

In addition, Rafailov photographed Mayrov during the rape using his cell phone, and later sent him the video.
