The Measurement and Evaluation Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has set the date for the unified national medical exam, the Tishreen session, for sixth-year students who wish to apply for differential studies in the faculties of human medicine in public universities “Damascus, Aleppo, Tishreen, Al-Baath, Hama, Tartous and Euphrates” and private universities “Al-Qalamoun and Andalus for Medical Sciences and the Syrian University And non-Syrian universities on Saturday 14 and 21 -11-2020.

The center stated in an announcement today that the exam will take place at eleven in the morning and over two hours every day in the centers of the universities of “Damascus, Aleppo, Tishreen, Al-Baath, Hama and Tartous” in the fields of diseases, “internal medicine, children, surgery, ophthalmic, auric, gynecology and obstetrics.”

According to the announcement, all students of faculties of medicine in public and private universities who are undergoing graduation and who have only 12 credit hours or 4 courses left, or students who have completed all the courses and credit hours for the year 2020, are subject to the examination.

The center set the passing mark in the standardized medical examination for Syrian university students at 60 percent, and the student benefits from the examination aid by only two marks, and the sixth year average is calculated on the basis of the rate of the unified medical examination.

Students in faculties of human medicine in public and private universities who are outside the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic can apply for the unified medical examination through the access points of the Syrian Virtual University in the “Emirates, Egypt, Germany and Beirut”.

The center indicated that non-Syrian university graduates are subject to the unified medical examination in order to equalize their degrees, and the passing score for them is 50 percent and a score of 60 percent is adopted as a condition for progression to postgraduate studies.

The center pointed out that the electronic registration for the exam starts from 9/15 until 10/15/2020, and fees for the exam are paid to students from within Syria 7500 Syrian pounds for private university students and 4,500 Syrian pounds for public university students in the Commercial Bank of Syria on the center's account and 150 dollars For students applying through the virtual university access centers outside Syria on the university’s account.

Subsequently, the exam locations in public universities, the names of those admitted to the examination and the dates for receiving the exam cards will be announced on the official website of the center.
