Olivier Faure, first secretary of the PS, took the
"defense"
of political parties in front of a skeptical public admitting no longer wanting to vote, Friday during the opening debate of the Festival of ideas, in La Charité-sur-Loire.

But I also want to defend the political parties.

During the debate,
“we talked a lot about 'yellow vests'.
It was the emergence in democracy of people who no longer spoke and it was a slap in the face for political parties.
But the “yellow vests” themselves have failed to equip themselves with spokespersons ”
and to emerge as a political force, he added.
