The Starnberg District Office, in coordination with the Weilheim State Building Authority and the Herrsching Police, decided that the earth walls on the state road between Herrsching and Breitbrunn will be removed.

The earth walls over a length of 450 meters in the direction of Breitbrunn and 140 and 210 meters in the direction of Herrsching were piled up in spring after it had become so narrow in May at the surf spot "Kreuz" between Herrsching and Breitbrunn that not even buses could use this part of the state road could happen.
The traffic came to a standstill, remembers Barbara Beck, press spokeswoman for the district office.
The vehicles were even parked in the middle of the nature reserve.
The Lower Road Traffic Authority in the District Office therefore agreed, together with the Herrsching Police and the Weilheim State Building Authority, that things could not go on like this.
The protest was not long in coming.
By Friday, for example, more than 1500 people had signed the online petition “Restoring, if necessary, creating parking facilities for water sports enthusiasts in Herrsching”.
In the meantime, the embankments were then covered with a film.
Since the excavation consisted of the removal of other roadsides, it was to be expected that the pollution would be high and that it could be washed out by rain and penetrated into the ground.
The walls were sampled.
Now they actually have to be removed because of the strain on the excavated material, admits Barbara Beck.
The state building authority Weilheim is currently looking for a suitable specialist company.
The concept of measures will be checked and reconsidered.
But it will depend on how the situation will develop in the near future.
