MK Ofer Shelach continues his campaign against the chairman of Yesh Atid, Yair Lapid, demanding that he hold primaries for the Yesh Atid leadership in which he intends to run against him.

Shelach posted tonight (Saturday) on Facebook an outline for holding primary elections for the party leadership, in open primaries in which anyone who is not a member of another party can run, which will take place in the first two weeks of December.

According to the outline, the election will be open to any candidate, and any person will be able to vote, provided they were not members of another party in the six months preceding the election.

"This is how the best people will stand, the number of voters will be unprecedented, and the candidate who wins will be worthy of the challenge of defeating Bibi in the election," a reporter sent on Facebook.

"The first open elections in Israel for the selection of a candidate, as befits a party that seeks to present a real alternative not only to Bibi, but to the corruption of the politics he represents."

Shelach announced this week that he demands to hold primaries for the Yesh Atid leadership, and stated that he intends to run and defeat Lapid, the party's chairman since its inception. According to the Yesh Atid bylaws, established in 2012, Lapid Shorin will first chair the party until the end of the Knesset. The 20th without elections, but since then it has extended the applicability of this section twice until the end of the 25th Knesset.

Lapid announced in response that he is willing to consider the possibility of holding primaries, a procedure that has been examined by the party in recent months, but he intends an internal procedure within the party's existing institutions and activists and is not expected to support the party's opening model to other candidates.

Send, on the other hand, aiming for a big move of opening lines has a future in order to become an alternative to the Likud as a ruling party.

"Since I announced my demand to hold a presidential election, there is a future. There is a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of embarrassment. This is how it is when it is time to move a central party to the next, and necessary, stage of its political life. "Is open to all and presents a new agenda."

According to him, the next date for a possible dissolution of the Knesset is December 23, the deadline for approving the state budget, and elections should be held before that date.

To this end, according to the outline, an election committee headed by a retired judge will be set up, consisting of members of the party's management, senior MKs and key field representatives who will be responsible for determining the election regulations and supervising technical preparations.

Send the page to the claim made in recent days Of the party anyway, and attacked Lapid. "Trying to confuse you.

Knesset list primaries are one thing, and list leader elections are quite another.

The little talk about party democracy, the promises of round tables and work teams, it all touched on the Knesset list.

"Yair Lapid secured the leadership of the party for himself in secret moves, without the knowledge of the party's MKs, until the 26th Knesset. That must be changed, and now."
