Parents and students demonstrated this morning (Tuesday) in Kfar Saba after high school students prepared posters encouraging rape.

It will be recalled that at the beginning of the school year, a number of twelfth-grade high school students in the city prepared signs that they intended to hang with a mention of the rape in Eilat, with reference to 10th grade students studying at the school.

Moran Michel, one of the organizers of the protest, told "Israel Today": "There are voices that say this is a joke. The thought that a group of adult boys these days can think that gang rape is a subject of laughter really bothers me, because as they say - every laugh has a little truth. "12? 30? 100? It's unpleasant and uncomfortable, but it's time for us to start dealing with what is not pleasant, because this is exactly the place where change is being made.

The case caused a great deal of shock, both to the Ministry of Education and to the city of Kfar Saba.

The boys themselves were suspended from school.

Mayor Rafi Saar also met yesterday with students from the city, he promised that all the high schools and divisions in the city will change their agenda, and during the entire school day there will be a discussion about the case.

He further noted that the municipality will hold a zoom lecture for parents, in collaboration with the Center for Assistance to Victims and Victims of Sexual Assault, a lecture that will provide tools to address girls 'and teens' questions and emphasize the difference between sexual assault and healthy sexuality.

Yesterday, the case made headlines after the signs that the students intended to hang in the school were exposed on social media.

A graffiti inscription was also revealed that read, "There is no Y. student who does not give, there is no Y. student who does not receive."

Rape prevention campaign

Students from the School of Behavioral Sciences at the Netanya Academy, who were exposed to the horrific rape story of the girl in Eilat, created a social campaign aimed at raising awareness to prevent rape cases.

The campaign was created by the students as part of the news, communication and advertising course under the guidance of lecturer Uri Oberutzky.

Among the female students are also mothers of adolescent children, who shared their story and thinking with their children, among other things in order to create awareness among young people as well, looking at different insights and case management in different aspects of age, gender and marital status.

Rotem Mizrahi Alon, a student from the Netanya Academy and mother of two children, shared that: "I created a poster in which I added the 11th commandment - I will not rape. I always explain to my children to respect women, I believe everything starts from home but I think the school must Explain as much as possible and invest in education.

Our project is crying out for change.

The desire and determination connected all the female students together.

We are strong, opinionated, determined and independent.

Our goal is to raise awareness, educate and create public discourse.

The announcements will soon go up in a web campaign and a virtual exhibition that will invite the general public to share creative ideas and products to raise awareness. "

Lecturer in the Communication and Advertising News course, Uri Oberutzky, said: "The students' products relate to rape in various aspects. Some are intimidation, re-education, the 11th commandment and more. This initiative is very exciting and we all hope that it will also create awareness."
