Whispered music, images and deep meanings dominated the poetry evening “Something” by the poets Ghadir Ismail and Ibrahim Fahd Mansour.
The evening hosted by the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh was initiated by the poet Ismail, with the participation of vertical poems and poems that were distinguished by their sublime meanings and their tendency to Sufi love in addition to the high emotional sense.
His first poem was entitled “Weaving on the Loom of Absence” from the traditional style despite the modernity of images and meanings, in addition to a poem entitled “The last messages sent by the martyr from his virtual world.” Poetry, which was distinguished by its symbolism, depth and winged images.
As for the participation of the poet Ibrahim Fahd Mansour, it was in emotional and sentimental poems that he opened with a poem that took a form close to the muwashah, where he committed a rhyme and narration to the poem’s prominence and its impotence.
Mansour concluded the evening with a poem that bore the name of his collection of poetry, winning the great poet Nizar Qabbani's prize, “Holy Your Holies, O Girl”.
The evening was moderated by the poet and artist Ayat Joban and presented the poets with sweet poetic excerpts.
