Six months after the official start of the new coronavirus pandemic, efforts to establish the existence of a vaccine are multidisciplinary and international.
Recently, research for the vaccine from the AstraZeneca laboratory and the University of Oxford suffered a setback because a patient reported side effects that required hospital admission.
Dr. Elmer Huerta, a public health specialist and CNN contributor, spoke with Guillermo Arduino about this case and the other efforts of science to find a way out of this pandemic.
