The bride Shirley Arieli, who collapsed at her wedding and was evacuated to Soroka Hospital in a very serious condition, passed away today (Wednesday) at the age of 33. The funeral is expected to take place later in Ashkelon.

Dr. Arieli was a professional doctor who lived in the Sdot Negev Regional Council. Before being evacuated to the hospital, some of the guests at her wedding tried to perform CPR on her.
It is estimated that a cardiac event caused her untimely death.
One week ago, Moshe Moore, an MDA paramedic who was present at the scene, said: "The feeling is very difficult.
"The MDA team is fighting for its life with other doctors. It is very difficult to see a woman with a wedding dress in such a situation."
From Soroka Hospital, where the doctor worked and to which she was referred, it was reported at the time that Dr. Arieli was connected to a heart-lung machine and transferred to the intensive care unit of the Department of Cardiac Surgery. Today, the doctors had to determine her death.
