Fires broke out in several places on Wednesday night.

Tents and other accommodations burned down, which is why the authorities evacuated the refugee camp despite a Covid-19 lock.
On Tuesday it became known that the number of people infected with corona in Moria had risen to 35.
This had preceded 2000 tests since the virus was discovered in one of the camp residents last week.

The camp should remain under quarantine until September 15 - but that is no longer possible.

Most recently, more than 12,000 migrants lived there - with an originally planned capacity of 2,800 places.
