People arriving from these two cities, particularly affected by new cases of coronavirus, will have to have a nasal test carried out less than 72 hours before their arrival in Malta.

Paris and Marseille thus join a list of cities or countries already subject to this measure, including three Spanish municipalities (Madrid, Girona and Barcelona), as well as the Czech Republic and Tunisia.

Travelers who do not produce a drug test upon arrival may be subject to a test in Malta as well as a quarantine, the authorities in this EU country say.
