Compared to last year, some vacation spots have increased in popularity quite a bit - others have disappeared completely.

, HomeToGo, found out, the interest in traveling to the Black Forest has increased by a whopping 748.30 percent compared to the previous year.
For this purpose, the search period from July 1 to September 4, 2020 for the check-in dates between October 3 and 31, 2020 was compared with the period in the previous year - although the check-in period was selected slightly shorter in the previous year , from October 5th to 31st, 2019.
In second place in the evaluation is the
Mecklenburg Lake District
, which generated just over 375 percent more views.
Also
Sylt
is clearly in the autumn still a popular holiday destination with around 340 percent more searches compared to last year.
In contrast, the Polish Baltic Sea (-86.01 percent), the Danish North Sea (-75.89 percent) and Mallorca (-43.52 percent) have lost their popularity.
Around 67 percent of the search queries for the autumn holidays 2020 are for travel destinations within Germany
.
Compared to the previous year, this is an increase of around 30 percent.

An earlier evaluation for the July and August 2020 travel dates showed that interest in the Black Forest has risen sharply.
This trend seems to continue into autumn and even winter.
For travel dates between October 30, 2020 and February 28, 2021, the search queries have increased by more than 280 percent compared to the previous year
Apart from the Black Forest, however, many Germans apparently prefer to spend their winter vacation in northern Germany.
