The three classes are one class from the
Otterfing primary school
, one class from the Oberland Realschule Holzkirchen, and one class from the Special Education Center in Hausham.
All affected students and parents have already been informed.
Students from other classes in these schools can continue to attend classes without worry.
All schools have a hygiene concept so that a mix of classes can be largely ruled out.
To relieve the health department and the school management, all (unaffected) parents are asked to refrain from making prophylactic calls to these offices.
Parents can, however, be insured: If other classes are affected, the health department and school management will inform the respective children and parents immediately.
The health department is in close contact with all school administrators concerned.
The school administrators, in turn, coordinate the measures at their school and organize alternative learning opportunities that have been created in the past weeks and months.
Of course these will start as soon as possible.
The Contact Tracing Team (CTT), which is based at the health department, has already identified all contact persons for the children who tested positive.
The classmates and affected teachers will be tested for the virus.
Not all teachers who have taught the classes have to be quarantined across the board: the health department weighs up each teacher on a case-by-case basis based on the findings of the CTT's investigations.
This procedure, which is very time-consuming for the health department and CTT, is important in order not to completely paralyze teaching at the schools concerned.
There are 47 schools in the Miesbach district, 19 of them primary schools.
Around 7,200 students attend secondary school and 4,600 students attend elementary or middle school.
The number of positive corona findings has increased significantly over the course of the week: 24 new infections have been reported to the health department since Monday.
Since the pandemic began, 697 people in the district have tested positive for the coronavirus, of which 664 are considered recovered and only 20 are considered active cases.
In many cases, the quarantine can now be shortened due to new scientific findings, which is why the number of active cases in the current presentation does not increase with the number of new infections.
