Activists from the environmental organization Greenpeace unfolded a poster in front of the European Commission building in Brussels, Belgium, protesting the damage to the Brazilian Amazon rainforest and the inaction of the European Union in this regard.
The demonstration took place after the National Institute for Space Research of Brazil reported that in August there were 23,307 sources of fire in that tropical forest, a figure that could increase.
