US fires: half a million people evacuated in Oregon

The fires in the western United States are unprecedented. 8 people died in California on Thursday.


Half a million people have been ordered to evacuate in the state of Oregon following the unprecedented fires raging on the west coast of the United States, local authorities announced Thursday (September 10).

About 500,000 residents of Oregon have been evacuated and that number continues to grow,

" according to an official statement.

The fires have ravaged many properties in the town of Gates in particular, in Oregon.
